Tyre Business Denmark - we keep the wheels turning

Tyre Business Denmark is an umbrella organization for the associations in the Danish tyre industry and looks after the interests of the members of the industry.

In addition, Tyre Business Denmark also forms the secretariat for the Danish Tyretrade Environmental Foundation and the Danish Tyre Safety Council and publishes The Tyre Magazine.

Denmark's leading tyre shops and suppliers to the tyre industry are members of the Association for Danish Tyre Specialists.

The members are all part of the concept "a genuine tyre specialist" and the "industry guide for working with tyres and rims".

The leading tyre importers on the Danish market are members of the Association for Danish Tyre Importers.

The association is responsible for the website www.daeklabel.dk which contains information about the EU tyre label that is found on all new tyres.

Tyre retreading extends tyre life and saves resources without compromising safety and durability.

The five members produce tyres that comply with ECE Regulation 109, which guarantees that the retreaded tyres have the same quality as new tyres.

Danish Tyre Industry Environmental Fund
Danish Tyre Industry Environmental Fund

Once tyres are worn out and discarded, they are collected and recycled. This ensures the most environmentally friendly way to recycle the materials.

The Danish Tyre Industry Environmental Fund manages the subsidy paid to companies that collect discarded tyres for recycling.

The Tyre Safety Council was established in 1991 with the purpose to disseminate and raise the awareness of consumers and public authorities about tyres and the related safety aspects from a non-profit and brand-neutral point of view.

Members of the council are FDM (Federation of Danish Motorists), The Danish Technological Institute, The Association for Danish Tyre Importers, The Association for Danish Tyre Specialists, The Association for Danish Retread Manufacturers.

The Tyre Magazine

The Tyre Magazine is Denmark's only magazine with the tyre itself and the tyre industry in general as its focal point.

The 24-page magazine is published 10 times a year.

Choose between a paid subscription to the print edition or a free subscription to the online version.

Fees on tyres

Companies that import tyres from abroad with a minimum section width of 5 inches or a minimum rim diameter of 8 inches must pay a fee to the tax authorities.

Fee rates as of 1 January 2025.
